Nuclear Power Plants. Why not?

The production of nuclear energy does not belong to the concepts of industrial democracy or economic. The investments needed and the scales of production are so high that it is not possible access to the competition if not by very few actors: big government, big business. The growth of nuclear power would lead to the need to monitor with arms-producing countries of minerals, plants refining or disposal of nuclear power plants.
All the technology is in the hands of Americans and Germans. In small part of the French, Russians, Chinese and South Africans. The centrifuges are German, for example! The instrumentation is American or German! Italy, although in the past a good position (3.o producer after the war!) Has always played a role only in the construction or basic research. But basic research does not do anything unless you also create applications. Research base is also not patentable! Often, our investment in itself insufficient, served only to allow others to patent applications, which we then buy. And as the work of construction, is now in German hands, Chinese and Japanese. So the Italian business sector has always been conditional and instrumental geopolitical interests whose control has never been in Italy.
